It’s Katie McCusker here, your Greens candidate for Sturt.

Sturt is winnable. It’s one of the closest Greens contests in the country. If just 1 in 10 people in Sturt change their vote, the Greens will win. We know we can do this, because it’s been done before. We need a smaller swing than the Greens secured at the last election to win the seat of Griffith in Queensland.

We have the momentum. I ran for Sturt last election and the Greens vote reached new heights. I then ran in the Dunstan by-election, a state electorate that overlaps Sturt, and again the Greens vote was unprecedented. We have worked hard to get to this moment.

But I didn’t do it alone. Far from it! I was supported by hundreds of passionate Greens volunteers, and a team of hardworking staff. Our messages were amplified by conversations at people’s doors, coreflutes on fences, and flyers in the hands of voters.

If we’re serious about winning, we need resources now to hit the ground running and get out ahead of Albanese and Dutton. Your contribution now makes a huge difference to get the job done.
