Adelaide Branch slow fashion clothes swap fundraiser leading up to the 2022 federal and state elections. Joy of Flora Cafe - 10 Rosetta Street West Croydon Saturday 11 December 2022 From 10 am – 1 pm, $15 | Concession $5

Join the Adelaide Branch for a slow fashion clothes swap fundraiser leading up to the 2022 federal and state elections.

The fast fashion industry is responsible for around 5% of global climate emissions – belching out about 1.2 billion tonnes of C02 equivalent per year! (Climate Council 2021). By swapping clothes, we extend the lifetime and use of a garment, reduce our need to buy new, and reduce landfill.

The Greens are proud to be powered by people, not big corporations. That's why fundraisers like this one are so important.

You will also have the opportunity to meet the state candidates; Tracey Davis for Croydon, Georgie Hart for Unley and Rebecca Galdies for the Federal seat of Adelaide.  These are three strong women ready to fight for a future for all of us in parliament.

So if it takes your fancy, please join us for a relaxing morning with coffee, chat with the candidates and walk away with a “new” wardrobe!

Bring as many clothes as you like, bring two and take two or bring ten and take ten. Guests can purchase if they do not bring clothing along to swap. Children’s clothing and books/toys are welcome.
