Join Tori and Dianna for a workshop on how to look after yourself in an intense campaign.

Note: The date of this event has been changed to the 15th of February.

As you may know, the next federal election is coming up this year. As such, the Greens are doing everything we can to boost our lower house vote in Boothby and return Sarah Hanson-Young back to the Senate.

Volunteers are a key part of every election campaign. So, we are keen to ensure that your time volunteering in the Boothby campaign, whether it be doorknocking, letterboxing, phone calling or handing out How-to-Vote cards at a polling booth is an enjoyable experience.

We’re determined to support you in your efforts during this crucial Federal Campaign.

The Greens are people driven - we don’t accept donations from big corporations, so volunteers and supporters play a critical role in our success. Every bit you do in the campaign for Boothby will be hugely important. As such, we aim to build your courage and resilience to boost enjoyment of volunteering in our campaign.

In this workshop you will:

• Learn from our rich bank of experienced volunteers

• Develop our Boothby Volunteer Safety Plan

• Know who to talk with and what to include in your approach

• Create your own approach that will pique people’s interest

• Build your own support network

Facilitators Dr Diana Collett and Dr Tori Wade are both experienced counselors and trainers. In addition to running the Well Being Workshop, they will be available for a supportive chat with any volunteers who would like to discuss issues arising from campaigning.

Let’s build a strong network of volunteers so that campaigning together in the next few months will be really effective, safe and enjoyable.

Registration is essential because numbers are limited.

If you cannot make it on the day, please contact Joanna Wells on 0403 197 071. We will offer an online session to follow up if there is enough demand.
